Wisconsin Film Festival 2017
A roundup of some excellent art that's largely absent from the festival itself.
One of the few sad things about the Wisconsin Film Festival is that the art of movie posters gets lost in the shuffle. The still images you see in the handy annual Wisconsin Film Festival guide rarely offer many clues as to the aesthetics of the films, nor are they terribly persuasive in most cases. That's a shame, given the thought and craft that goes into a film’s poster, though it’s certainly understandable on a logistical level. In hopes of making up for it just a little bit, consider our 16 favorite posters for Wisconsin Film Festival 2017 feature selections.
